PROGRAMS

The Loxton Amateur Basketball Association (LABA) encourages players of all ages and abilities providing pathways from 5yrs to seniors.

LABA provides guidance, training and support throughout all levels, from juniors to seniors. We focus on the development and growth of players, supporting them in reaching their full potential, and promoting opportunities for play at the highest possible level.

We offer summer season programs commencing from the start of Term 4 , typically breaking for the summer school holidays before resuming again in Term 1.

GETTING STARTED...

Aussie Hoops introduces basic skills to our very youngest players. The Aussie Hoops program is an initiative of Basketball Australia and the Australian Sports Commission to establish a National Introductory Basketball Program for children aged 5-7. During the program children are taught how to bounce the ball, pass and shoot while playing fun games in the process.

JUNIORCATS

Our JuniorCats program is a local competition for junior players in Loxton and its surrounds. The purpose is to provide a competition that is accessible without overburdening families with the time and financial commitments of Riverland Basketball Competition. The Domestic competition is a great way for junior players (U8s through to U14s) of all abilities to play “proper” games in a competitive but friendly environment once a week.

SUPERCATS

For players ready for greater challenge, LABA offers our SuperCats program with both junior and senior teams taking part in the Riverland Basketball Association competition across the region on Thursday (seniors) and Friday (juniors) nights. Attendance at weekly trainings are also required of our Junior and Div 1 teams.

LABA uses both The Precinct Loxton and the Loxton Lutheran School (LIFE Centre) for SuperCats trainings and games.
